We are already half way trough our journey together and I think it's time to put portraits on and decide on the names ;) I have chosen the names for each puppy after seeing how their character is showing :) And since I love orange, I decided on this photos ;)

DREW ( wise one) Fire Ovčarski

DEWEY ( beloved one) Fire Ovčarski ( STILL AVAILABLE! )

DWYN ( fair/ holy) Fire Ovčarska - She is special, one of her eyes is blue <3

DILIC ( beloved) Ciara Ovčarska

DEIRDRE ( raging) Ciara Ovčarska

DANA ( power/generosity) Ciara Ovčarska

Their character is looking great, they are very brave, they love to explore the world ( well, rooms ;)) and hopefully the weather will soon be more suitable and they will be able to run around the garden also :)

Big thanks to Janja for the photos I don't know what would I do without you :) <3

Ovčarska D Litter

I know this post should have come sooner, but I was just to busy with other stuff and spending time with our newborns. Well, they are not newborns anymore, they are more than 2 weeks old. They can see, bark, walk and play already! The time is going by so fast :)

Our gang is just the cutest one I have ever seen! Amy is a really good mom, she takes care of everything. It's funny because she never looked much of a motherly type, she was too crazy ;) I guess nature and hormones did their job perfectly, because she is excellent at taking care of her puppies <3

They are quite an energetic little guys, so I can only imagine what is yet to come when they get even bigger :D I must say, that this is a dream come true and I just adore all of them! They are soo cute, cuddly, playful and as soon as I sit near them they come running to me and they think I am a great bed to sleep on! It is just so nice to see them grow and develop every day.

Here is a short video of our puppy at when they were 3 days old, and soon some more videos will be coming :)

'' I have what it takes.''

I am still an amateur at this fitness and healthy food stuff. But if I can be sure of one thing it is this: I decided to do it and I am doing it. I am closer to my goal every day.

I started last summer, when I realised that taking walks with my dogs and training agility is not enough. I was still uncomfortable in my own body and it was about time to do something about it. So I found the Insanity program and I was hooked. I decided that I was going to do it no matter the struggle. Every time I pushed play and did it I felt sooo proud. Even though I thought I was going to throw up because I was so tired, I did't quit. And no matter how many times I fell on the floor thinking that I can't do it, that I'm too tired, I got back up and I finished the set at my max. I was devoted to do it and I did it. Results did not come as fast as I hoped, because I decided I was not going to have a diet. I was not ready to change my eating habits. And that was the right thing to do. Why? If I would force myself into doing something I was not ready to do, I would fail before I even started.

Thank god for the internet, because without it I could never find as many useful information basically for free. At the beginning there are so many information and you cannot follow them. But then you find a way of eating that makes you feel satisfied, happy and you are not hungry all day long. This is the most important thing! You must never be hungry, you should eat 5 times a day, control your portion sizes and eat HEALTHY. Dieting and eating healthy are two totally different things. If you want a great body, if you want to feel good, that should be your lifestyle, that should be what YOU want. Only then you can succeed. It is hard enough as it is and if you are not 1000% in, it will only be harder.

'' Working out is hard, eating healthy is hard, being overweight is hard. Which hard will you choose?''

After my vacation in Greece I was ready. I started with two months of Turbo Jam and the same day I started to watch what I'm eating. 5 meals a day, more vegetables & fruit, smaller portions, WATER. In my opinion, you have to start slowly. After a while you don't even need to eat that candy or biscuit. You are not hungry and you don't want it. I measured and weighed myself the first day of Turbo Jam and was determined to do it again ONLY at the end. I was sooooo happy, because the results were fantastic!

'' I will win, not immediately, but defenitely.'
'

That is what keeps you going you know. To see progress, even if it's slow. So now I'm doing 5 months of Turbo Fire. My arms and legs are stronger than ever, I can do more push ups than ever, I can run faster and I can't wait to see what else I can do!

B.A.C.K. 2013

So from 4th- 6th of January there was a big agility competition in Germany that we went to. We only competed on Saturday and Sunday.

I must say that I was really anxious before I had to go to the course with Amy. Agility run on Saturday was not easy at all ( in my eyes anyway), but I was really happy with how Amy did, she was great, the only mistakes were made by me and my nerves :)

Jumping that day was soooo good, right up to the second last jump, when I forgot that it was there and did not send her, therefor we were disc. But like I said, my mistakes, we will work on that :)

Sunday was much better for us. Even though I was probably more nervous than the day before, we managed to get trough agility run with only 10 faults - one bar and the A-frame- the A-frame is just to much fun for Amy, she loves jumping off of it :)

Jumping wasn't really made for me and Amy would handle it just fine if I would be of any use :)

Last but not least is the beautiful Cap, who I chose for Amys first litter. I loved his videos and pictures but now that I finally met him I love him even more! He is just perfect for her and I really think that they are a great match :*
I couldn't belive my eyes when I saw how much Amy liked Cap. She ran around playfully, trying to get his attention.

I am so exited for the litter that will be in spring 2014, I just hope everything goes as planned. :)

Till next time! :)

Herding Seminar

I decided to start a new blog and what's the best way to start a blog about my Border Collies than through a herding seminar, right? So the past weekend there was a Herding seminar with Kathrin Gleis in Domžale. Unfortunatelly I could only participate on saturday. Despite the rain and cold we managed to get trough the day.

At first I was a little afraid of going into ' the big fence' right away, but amy turned out great ( for my expectations anyway). She did need a few laps around the sheep to calm her joy of being there a little bit, but once we started, she was really obedient. She lied down instantly, which mad me REALLY happy, becouse I had so many problems with that when started with Bebi a few years ago. She kind of freezed and wouldn't lie down for minutes. She would just stand there staring at the sheep and would move stalkingly ( you know the Border Collie way) towards the sheep. So the main problem with Amy was, that she really enjoyed circling around the sheep and she took advantage of every second that I she had, to go around them. and I think that is a problem, we will have to work on when we start to herd regularly.

I guess I didn't really expect her to really work with sheep. Not at first at least. Mostly becouse she met the sheep before and it always seemed to me that she way playing with them and becouse when we were there waiting for our turn, she didn't even notice the sheep. She only spotted them when we already got into the fence. But when we stopped, I had to get her collar and take her out, because she couldn't take her eye of off the sheep. :) Unfortunately Bebi can't work the sheep anymore even though she would love too, but the last time she tried, her leg was really hurting for too long. But she did get the chance to watch the sheep, which was ALMOST as good as herding. ;) Here is a link to a video of Amy and the sheep on saturday:

So that's that for now and I hope I will be good and write as much as I can! :)
